Turbo Limited Street

Anyone interested in a class simular to TSE but with less restrictive rules
4 bolt 76mm turbo with TO4 Flange,stock appearing intake,3400-3450lbs.
Champion,TA heads (no stage II).

The following racers have expressed interest in the class:

I'ld consider it if my sheetmetal intake was considered stock appearing. What event do you plan to race this class?

Gary

I think this is a great idea. I have been trying to get a stock appearing intake with Champion heads for a long time. I also like the idea of a small 4 bolt turbo. The weight sounds like it is right in the ball park. Let get it going.

I really like this idea. It has a lot of potential. The persons you named are just in FL. I know there are quite a few other cars from outside who would fit right in this class.

Louie I would be a player count me in. I just talked to Gary on the phone and Sounds like it would be a great class. If I can help you guys get it going just let me know. You might post some rules to help spark interest. I think there are several cars that are in between TSE and TSO.

Louie and Lonnie

I am happy to see you will consider this new class. It is up to us to get it going. Please talk to those people you know. We need all the support we can get. I believe there are others who will join us. Make sure they post on this thread so Gary will have an accurate count.

Thanks,

Willard Brown

Jack,How about a link to the particular turbo you would be running.
Everyone can take a lookand get a general consensus on it being legal

Otto,

There is no link............. as I posted earlier, any T4 -76 turbo being legal, otherwise it becomes a 1 turbo, manufacturer class again..... I've been down this road before, as has others and there was always a turbo advantage for a few and not the rest. It will happen again if nothing changes. Kinda like TSO was before........... only 1 turbo was allowed for the last 4 years, this year was different and we had tripple the participation....... with a few limits on the DP size, we can all bring our favorite flavor. Make it 3.5" limit on the DP. Seems pretty easy and tooo simple.

I feel the same with tires, why are we limiting them, there has been many discussions about this in the past, these are serious cars we are building. I have used the Phoenix tires with excellent results as has several others, those tires should not be an issue at all. If we are using W tires, 29.5's what is wrong with having a stable more consistent tire? Why limit the tires?

So Jack, and Willard, what you propose is that tires/sizes be defined by sidewall designation only?

My feel is ANY 10.5-29.5 tire, "W" included, then there is no bull to deal with.We all have the same opportunity to set our cars up with what works best.......... KISS ....... Keep It Simple Stu....
