Are you talking just the blue reinforced rubber hoses that were very common on silicon hoses? You'll pay a little more for silicone, but IMO worth it.

You guys may know this but, a trick to cutting the hose straight is to lightly tighten a regular worm style hose clamp around the hose...Will give you a straight edge to cut against.

Yea I've tried that too. A razor blade and a hose clamp has always given me the cleanest cut...I guess do what works for you best : )

That's the easiest way I know of, been doing it that way for years.

I have a razor knife attachment I built for my lathe and after you attach the hose to a piece of pipe with a hose clamp, chuck it up, spin it slow and drive the blade in, cuts any length you need, perfectly, everytime.

Thanks for the links fellas...........after checking the prices at those sites, I'm thinking I got took........this vendor charged us 30$ for the 3" x 2.5" and 20$ or 25$ for the 3" couplings and thats on top of the 24$ shipping. The type of hose I'm talking about are light blue with the reddish/orange inner liner. Most vendors sell these same ones with their intercoolers......anybody familiar with these....

The price for the transition hose sounds dead on to me...The 3" couplings sound high. Could you have saved any buying it by the stick?

Cool

I clamp my hose in a vice and use a sharp razor. Straight cut every time!

Where did you get yours? There are all kinds of specs on silicone hose. The biggest mistake people make when buying silicone hose is overbuying. Meaning they buy connectors etc. that do not fit their needs. Some vendors out there will try and oversell prospective clients with items they don't really need for the applications they are going to be used for. If anyone has questions about what specs they need PM me. I would be glad to help.

I just placed a $100 order today with www.stylinmotors.com so I will let you know how it turns out. I paid for 2nd day air as well so I am hoping I get my hoses and clamps before the end of the week.
