All over the place. Means nothing.

Maybe it shoots for 450....14:1

Oscillating under 35, and over 600.
The ecm tries to *average*, about .5v so as to achieve an average AFR of 14.7:1.

In closed loop, as Bruce said, it will be up and down rapidly.

If you have a chip that idles in open loop, then it's going to settle somewhere above .500, usually in the .750-.850 area.

Thanks for the help!

i just bought the car a few days ago. it's my 5th TR, and I remember my other cars idling in the 550-680 range. This car idles in the 450-550 range.
Does this mean It's too lean? It has an Red's 93 chip in it for now. As soon as I get bigger injectors, and turbo I'm going to use one of Eric's chips.

Also is running stock injectors with the stock turbo ok, with a built engine ( heads, cam) as long as i keep the boost low? Or do the heads flow too much
for the injectors to keep up, regardless of boost? It's set around 15-16.

Thanks guys!!

Those O2's are fine for a closed loop idle, as long as the O2 sensor is good.

As long as you keep the boost low and don't shift much past 4800-5000, it will be ok as long the stock injectors aren't plugged up (a lot of them are). You might want to bump the fuel pressure up to be on the safe side. Be careful and watch for knock. Try to get some bigger injectors soon.

For mid 10's I would use Siemens 72's or Delphi 75's. You'll have to get the ECM modified to use those.

Why can't efgh703 just be blocked along with a couple of others? why would this be so hard? I guess the only up side is that it revives old threads.
