What are you guys using for the oiling system. Are they set up for wet sump? Just trying to figure out the pros and cons of going with this block instead of a iron stage 2 block. I guess my question is what does it usually cost to convert a iron block to wet sump and how much for the oiling system on the ta block?

thanks,
doug

Oiling system on the TA block is just like stock wet sump.

I know Nick and Tony Gomes run a Duttweiler system. That is what I would run, it runs about $400.00 and be done with it.

You can run wet sump or dry sump. Dry sump is safer if you happen to lose a few rods on the top end.

Double that when all the other parts are figured in the total cost.

As a side note, figure a deep pan and/or an oil accumulator if this is to be used in a 9 sec. or faster car.

Should be 10 quarts of oil in the system. With the oil pressure log in the FAST XFI, we see a continual decrease in oil pressure towards the end of a run.

Guess the oil is not making it back down into the pan. Buick BB guys are also running into this problem also. The pumps are putting out so much volume, the oil can't make it back down in time=starvation.

That is just what the BB guys have said to me as well!

I am adding a 3 quart accumulator to bring my total oil in the system to 11 quarts with the deep pan. When the RPM was 6000 or less, this was not a problem. Not at over 7000 RPM, it is a very big concern.:screams:
