To prevent hot radiator air from getting sucked into your intercooler, follow these directions to make your own radiator air deflector. (of course, you could buy one from a vendor for ONLY $19.99, but what fun would that be?)

1. Using the provided measurements, cut out a piece of cardboard in the shape of the air deflector. Use this is a guideline and template for your final product.

2. Use this cardboard template to size up the install. See if it will fit, or if you will need to make modifications.

3. For the final product (I used some plastic that I bought from Home Depot; its original function was to be a drip pan for hot water heaters ;-), you could use metal, or whatever…), trace your cardboard template on to what will be your air deflector.

4. Cut the air deflector out. (I used tin snips.)

5. Install using hardware of your choice. I used black cable ties. I also used a little weather stripping that I had left over from when I sealed up my stock radiator fan.
