Hello,
anyone running the 65 that Cotton sells.
Just looking to see what other people think of it and what times your running.
I put one on and it seems to pull like a bear. atleast compared to the 44 I had.
Thanks

I got one. 4" inlet, and .83 A/R. It spools so fast I should have gotten a CPT66 or 70. I ran an 11.2 @ 121, 1.8 60" at 22,23 psi, with a slipping tranny. I went to 75# injectors with ME-R, and the car turned into a different animal. But I spun a main bearing :dong: before I got back to the track.

But the turbo streets and runs great.

Hell I don't know. What does the 65 stand for? The specs are the same as a TE 45.

CP probably means cottons performance.

The specs are not the same as a 45. The plain 45 has a 63mm compressor and a it is a To4E housing.

The CPT-65 has a 61mm compressor and the 60-1 housing. (edited from TO4S)

Exhaust is a P-trim on the 65. The 45 I am not sure about...

I will say that the CPT-65 at 26 PSIG scared the sh!t out of me the first good pull that I had!!!

It pulls hard on the top. Spool is laggy with the stock converter, but that was expected. I will try the CPT-65 with a 3400 stall and see how it is. I am sure that it will rock like a mad man!!!

I am pretty sure The 65 has a 63mm Wheel...I have a link somewhere that does list all the spec's on the CPT line...And It does list the 65 as a P-Trim,Q-Trim Optional On the exhaust side..63mm Compressor wheel....The same specs as the 45...

Maybe Jack will Chime in,And we can get the answer first hand...

I have heard from others that their CPT-65 had a 62mm wheel, and now you are saying that your 65 has a 63mm wheel. My CPT-65 has a 61mm wheel. I measured it. Oh well, what good is a name?

The turbo is going to Limit for an upgrade anyways.

The plain 45 is a 63mm wheel, and the 45a (newest version) has a 67mm GT wheel. I verified my info today with John.

I just saw this thread, guess I should clarify a few things. First, I do use a 61mm wheel, my sources told me this wheel would flow as much as a 63-64mm wheel. The beauty of the combo was that we could achieve quick spooling and still make the power of the bigger wheeled turbos without the lag. I felt this would be an excellent turbo for the street and the strip. In our testing we have run as fast as 129mph at the track with more left. Sorry for any confusion. In BB housing it is an incredible turbo when matched with the correct convertor and other complimenting parts.

Jack, I will have the turbo up and running this week with a 34-3500 stall. I hope I will be able to get traction. It is only a 1/8 mile track that I am going to, but I am sure it will get in the mid 7s.
