Freshening up my BB70Q, and this leaves me with the option to go larger. I'm going to be using a .020 over 109, and want to know if anyone has had success running a BB76Q, or similar, on a small CI motor. I have ported GN1', ect. and a 3600 rated stall conv. ( actually stalls at 3,800 ). I have no problem spooling the 70Q on the foot brake. Brian

You have the heads and the right stall speed in the converter for it but I dont know how you will keep the crank from snapping into many pieces on you. If you go to a 76 you may have some problems getting the most out of the turbo on a small CI motor. I would stick with what you have.

I have already decided to stay with the 70 for a few reasons. The biggest concern at this point was the 109 block. Bob at RPE built a new capped, girdled motor for me, with some good parts I got thru Jack. ( Eagle crank, Oliver rods, Diamond pistons, BHJ, JW, ect. ). Brian

I wish I had some good news for you, but nothing yet.
I'll keep an ear to the ground though.
Hey, what's up with that gold plated one that was for sale :bsflag:

Couldn't believe what a deal that was! Just could talk myself into buying it, 'cause it didn't match all my cheap aluminum. Brian
