Anyone using WinALDL ??? Past/present?
:fragez: :fragez: :fragez: :fragez: :fragez: :fragez:
Just wondering if anyone has used this, and how well it works. I am going to upgrade to DS or T-link when funds are available. In the meantime this should be better than nothing!

I like it, seems easy to use.Not as "portable" as a S.M.,but ideal for garage tuning, and its FREE.

I use it and I guess it works good. It was more of a fun project to build a couple months ago.
With a 1.5 second refresh rate, I think that kinda makes it useless on a car that'll hit 60 in 4 seconds.

It works on TBI vehicles also

I just got my cable, so when I get some time I will put it in and test it. If it will work for a garage tuning, I'll be O.K. for a little bit till I get DS or T-link.

About the only trick I saw with setting it up is to input your exact TPS settings into the setup. That way it showes the correct throttle %'s. Oh yeah, make sure you tell it the correct ECM.
Both of those are one time only setups. You'll be fine after that.

Has anyone tried to make the cable or are you buying it somewhere. It doesn't look that hard to construct but was wondering if anyone has tried. :fragez:

I built mine. I went with the plan that uses the laptop to power the cable. It only took about five or ten minutes once I finally got around to making a trip to Radio Shack.

Yeah, didn't take long at all. I like the program although I know the formulas for O2s, MAT, and Knock retard are all off. Does anyone know the conversions for these or if they've been fixed in the latest version?

Also, does anyone know what "DRP occured" means? :albert:

I actually have my cable made, and my new laptop form work only has USB ports, soooooo I won't be using mine.
Drop me an email if you're interested in one already done.
