Yep, 60 PPH, Saturated Injectors.
Ken Mosher's admitted they exist now, so I guess I can mention them now. I don't know the pricing or who's going to be handling them but they seem to be really nice. Cold weather has prevented me from doing any serious WOT testing with them but so far so good, as far as having a *clean* idle. I've been running a set in batch fire mode with my syclone ecm project, and they've responded well.
The unique part is that they limit the flow at lower pulse widths, so you don't wind up with a poor idle due to the injector getting erratic with short Pulse Widths. I'm actually running a longer PW at idle with these then the 55s I had been using.
You can see in the attachment they are of the *pencil* type.
Just something to be on the watch for....

That direct ignition setup looks pretty clever
as well. How well does it work?

Very.
I'm even hoping to improve on it.
By going to the later 3x18 crank sensoring, like in the newer 3800s.

On the current setup, did you pair up the coils and trigger
them with a stock module? Or are they sequentially fired by
some other means? BTW when you go to the 3 x 18 setup
be careful of the harmonic balance. The balance was frequently changed
during production of those engines. The balance also changed
with various options like superchargers etc...
Another thing to considder is: most of the newer engines ran a different
cam sensor that consisted of a magnet attached to the cam sprocket
with a pickup that attached to the timing cover. I'm not sure
whether they produce the same signal or not. Sounds cool though.
I'm comptemplating with the thought of adapting an Eaton supercharger
from a 3800 to the 3.8 in my pickup. Not sure if I'll keep the FI or not.
I'm thinking About fabricating a carb flange and using an old MSD distributor
from a circle track engine (hoping it'll clear the SC) And then a whole lot of creative plumbing! :gruebel:

Sneaky devil! SC in the PU. :applaus:

Currently it has and eDist on it. They're made by F.A.S.T.. It takes the ecm signal, and cam signal and figures out which coil to fire when.
I had an adapter collar machined, so I'm just changing the *shutters*, not the balancer.
The cam signal isn't really even an issue for me, since I most often just run in batch fire mode.
Depending on how ambitious I get will dicate if I go with eDist or fab something else up, and fire the coils in pairs.

Coincidently, I was working on a 3800 today. While replacing the crank sensor
I noticed the replacement was the dual shutter wheel setup. So I called the
parts store to make sure I got the right part. They said it was updated.
After hearing that, I asked if my GN took the same sensor. He said yes.
So that should be a direct bolt on anyway.
Yeah, I'm thinking about the SC, but I'll have to fabricate a lower intake
to make it work. So that may be a while. For now, I'll run the new engine
when I can find the time to change it.

The sensor mounting bracket is the same on the early 3800s, but the sensor on the 3.8 has 3 wires, and the 3800s 4. Both the 3.8 and early 3800 have two openings for the shutters.
The later 3800 has a large plastic mounting bracket, and isn't adjustable. It also has large clearances for the shutter wheels. And the outter shutter wheel is a different diameter then the earlier one.
