If you have a problem with a GEN VI, sending it in for repair gets your a $150 estimate, and *that probably will cover the repair, and inspecting the unit*. Shipping is extra.


The IAC routine on the Gen VI retracts the IAC pintle at reset. Whereas on the GM ones, they fully extend it to make sure the IAC orfice is clean enough for the IAC to fully seat.

On the Gen VI if the actual idle wonders much from the commanded idle speed the IAC just will continually run. On the oem you can set the amount of error that you find allowable. (Called Deadband in code terms).

While I may have caused one trace to lift, on the two adapter harnesses I have both had torn traces.
