Joe,

Take a day to ski Copper when you're at Breckenridge. Nice place. I always liked Copper best in Summit County. You might like Keystone, also. I'd pass on A-Basin. Have a great time. After you ski out west you won't want to ski around here any more. I used to go every year until we had kids. The oldest one is taking lessons now so there's still hope.

Yea, I was pretty much thinking the same...who wants to ski this shit after going out there. It will be a blast. Very excited. Now all I gotta do is let the wife know I'm going to Vegas too in a few wks and I'll be all set! :)

Joe,

It's nice to go at the end of the season. The weather should be great and if you get to ski enough this winter you'll be able to tear it up out there. Very little ice.......I mean packed powder as the ski areas like to call it. If you get some powder days you'll be doin' good. I don't know how good of a powder skier you are. If you have a tough time with it and you get a big dump, rent some powder boards. It's a lot more fun and less tiring. Worth the $25 bucks a day. I got to ski out West quite a bit and NEVER had a bad trip. Take the altitude seriously, though. If you're going right to Breckenridge (9600' base elevation) from the airport you might get altitude sickness. Read up on it if you haven't already. You can get a script from your doctor before you go if you need to. I usually have a headache for a day or two and sometimes don't sleep too well at first. After that I'm OK. Now when I go out there I usually stay at my friends house in Denver for a night before heading into the mountains. Not to avoid altitude sickness, it just usually works out that way. You'll have a great time. Are you going with the family?
