Ok I have decided to put my money where my mouth is I have been saying for a long time we need a fun, entry level heads up class. I would like to see folks race in this so: The BHN will put up prize money, and from what I have been told it will be quite generous, I will let them tell you about that. In addition to that, I will, IF we get 20 cars to show up and race, award your choice of:
$500 cash to the Winner
or
A complete MAFT Pro set up including the unit, sensors, a custom Extender pro chip, high boost solenoid and cables! This is a $700 value!
RUNNER UP gets $250
Low 60ft gets a mystery prize
Per the class rules all racers will have to run a sponsor decal to race and collect, we will provide these at the race or before by request. I will post a picture of it soon. Remenber we need 20 cars to make this happen on my end but the BHN will pay no matter what.
Mike & Marianne
(thank her, she OK'ed the money)
Yes I will try to collect my own money

This is great:rockwoot:
This should really up participation! We need some rule clarifications however, see
http://www.t6p.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8288
I think this class is going to be super competitive so I want to know ALL RULES up front. They seems to be a little "grey" in certain areas:nixweiss:
Thanks Mike and good luck:arco:
Travis we are going to do our best to bring one home to T6P:rockwoot:
What does BHN stand for? I am assuming Buick Horsepower Nationals?

We have tried to define the classes within certain guidelines and there will always be some "grey" areas. This is simply handled by our general statement that "if
the rule does not allow a performance enhancing mod, it is NOT allowed".
BHP = Buick Horsepower [Nationals]

Maybe you should look a little closer then. The rules say you have to use the stock elbow on the turbo and then Mike is saying a TH downpipe is acceptable.
I guess Im just going to have to build this car to my interpretation of the rules since no one will give me any clarification and then we'll just fight about it when we show up.

......................
OK, I looked at the rules and did not see where a stock turbo exhaust housing was mandated? When formulating thee rules, an initial item of discussion was the TH-style DP.
I thought it has been allowed since the first draft.
Perhaps its the wording thats throwing me off then.
The factory stock appearing turbine exhaust to downpipe flange connection must be used.

You wouldnt slum down to race in this class. Dont try to kid anyone.
Course, with the speeds you're used to, you could eat a donut and hold a glass of milk without spilling it while you were driving so I guess never say never.
