Looks like the whole core support is crooked to me.

If that car is parked on level ground there's a serious problem.
Just as a quick check measure all 4 wheel well openings from their high point to the ground. 1/4"-3/8" ain't too bad. 3/8" and more it's frame rack time, IMO..

Are the door, hood, and trunk seams gapped evenly?.

The reason I mention going all the way back to the trunk is some damage can be just in the front frame horns, and other actual major frame damage.

The front end seems way too high

Thats because the motor is out.

Still shouldnt be that far off...

Cool. I'll measure the wheel well openings from the floor for a rough estimate.

The trunk lines up perfect.

Hood hasn't been on since I fixed it.

door to fender gaps are good.

oh yeah, I know it's NOT on level ground. So that makes it hard.

I'm trying not to do a frame swap with the 84 Regal I have sitting in the corner. But it's an option, I know that frame is straight. Lots of work though.

Thanks for the replies. Anymore is great too

Jason

Could be an optical illusion, but it looks like the frame is torqued/twisted. Does this show up in the door to fender gaps?

DO U have a history with the car......reason to think or know why it would would be so?

I know exactly what the problem is,It's your rims, they don't fit your car at all and would look so much better on mine. :add_wegbr
You better send them fast, who knows what else they may effect? :zahn:

door fender gap is cool.

I have the history on the car, hit dr side front. shows up on carfax too! suprisingly.

Suposedly the frame was straightened, just don't know for sure.

Bill: Ha ha ha very funny.... :add_wegbr would you like them sent FedEx?? :fly:

:zha: Yup definetly the rims seen this a hundred times, the others don't listen either.Or else I wouldn't be after yours :albert:
Is the car going to be a driver or a all out racer?
Good luck:

Had the same problem when I bought my GN in `99. Right front was almost 1" lower than the left. My first thought was weak/broken spring as the frame looked fine. Turns out some yay-hoo replaced only One stablizer link and it was 1" shorter then the other! I removed the swaybar and the front-end magically evened out. Here's a before pic...

HTH - JimmyYea, but if you look at his car, the top of the header panel vs the top of the cowl, you see its not the CAR thats not level, its the rad support, as the cowl and rad support dont sit parallel. I say either its missing the rad support mount on the RS, or its old and squished where the LS one is new, the mounts under the cowl have rusted and fell thru the hole in the frame, or the framerail is tweaked.

You could see this in the door to fender gaps. I dont know how you managed to have perfect gaps and a tweak like this however.....

I also agree with jay, I think the hood missing causes uneven weight distribution and twists the car ever so slightly :arco:

imo this car is seriously twisted- most likely the frame

yeah, your car looks similar to mine in that picture. Except mine looks more extreme.

Car was not raced, stocker all it's life. The underside of the car is getting replaced, bars, bushings, links, shocks and so forth. After all that I'll take it to a shop.
