Can I just replace impeller?

I have a trashed turbo I want touse as a backup.. The impeller ingested a rogue impeller nut. Even though it is trashed, there's no in/out shaft movement, and just a teeny bit up/down movement.

Can I JUST replace the impeller? Will there be balance issues?

Also.. If you spin the turbo shaft, should it continue to spin after you let go?

(Yes, I know there's an extra nut on the impeller shaft)

Don't risk it. At the speeds those things spin at, there is just no reason not to go for a rebuild/rebalance while doing the repair. A little more piece of mind when you're ripping down to street or track.
