Right now its down by the swaybar. Not sure if I like that location or not

I removed the little mounting plate and clamped it to the cooling fan (one of the 4 arms). I'm not sure if I like it there either.

I looked at putting it under the fan motor but decided there wasnt enough clearance there. I could put it under the battery but I would have to run all new hose and wire and dont feel like doing that.

I mounted mine underneath the air inlet pipe/air filter on the inner fender, it's not very noticeable there. :joint:

I mounted mine where the battery was located. I relocated the battery to the trunk to give me extra room for the pump and the new radiator overflow tank. Its razor's setup, so I used the stock rad. overflow for the alky. I cut me a piece of diamond plate aluminum to fit over the hole where the battery sat. I painted the pump black and attached it to the plate. I'm sure some wouldn't want to relocate the battery to the trunk, :nixweiss: but it doesn't bother me to get all the weight off the front of the car that I can and put it over the right rear wheel :rockwoot:

The pics are a little bright, but I think you get the idea

On the floor......of my garage. Right between the rollaway tool box and my creeper. Next to the boxed lowers and new motor mounts. I gotta move that thing. I keep stubbing my toe on it when I check my fuel oil. :albert:

I just did the RJC pulleys and highly recommend getting them on. I did have to put a spacer behind the water pump pulley to get it to line up.

Its okay that I highjacked this thread because I started it :zahn: :albert:

I don't trip over my Hooker exhaust anymore. I moved it to the other side of the car where I don't walk. The only problem with my rollaway is that the drawers are full of parts: timing chain and gears, rear main seal, valve springs and seals, hobbs switches, a new water pump and an oil pump booster plate. Man is my car gonna be nice........someday.

It's a temporary solution to an immediate problem. It's next move in on the car. Gotta get it on the car before I put the new injectors and chip in.:dong:

I'm still playing around with ideas, but I thought maybe I'd put it right behind the washer fluid reservoir.....I want the pump to be visible for ohhh and ahhh effect and that spot is just sitting there wide open.

Trust me after a short time you will want the pump hidden. The steel braided hose into the uppipe gets enough oohs and questions. Then just open the reservoir and let them have a sniff. It just adds to the mystique, espescially for the die hard NA and big block guys

I kinda figured, in addition to being out there in the open, that would be a good place for the pump because--initially--I'll be using the washer fluid reservoir for the system....y'know, I'm new to this and I want to try a little before I go alot.

Two problems with the washer reservoir:

It draws fluid from the top, and not the bottom like the coolant reservoir. If that little tube falls off the fluid reservoir cap you get no alky
Also it wont work with a standard inline pump, because the pump has to be below the tank and have a constant supply of fluid. It would be sucking air.

Also the washer reservoir is less than half the size of the coolant reservoir. You will suck through it pretty darn quick. I turned the washer reservoir into a coolant reservoir and it works fine. I just have no windshield washers, but who cares when the car gets washed all the time? Now my truck is a different story...

I was planning on tapping into the bottom....does that make any difference as to the placement of the pump?

There may not be enough material there. You may be able to use a hot glue gun or something to seal whatever you are going to hook your hose to.
