Official T6P Track Rental sign-up thread!!!

This is the official track rental sign-up thread. Only sign up if you are coming to race, there is no charge for spectators.

We will use this list to collect the fee ($133 +$10 barbeque donation if desired) for the rental from racers.

A few more details...

If you do not pay, you do not race. Simple.
If you buy a spot and break on the day of the rental, you can discuss allowing somebody to run in your spot with the track's approval. We can't have racers sharing a spot according to Atco.
Once you buy your spot, it is your spot. If you can't make the rental, it is your responsibility to find somebody to fill your spot. Either work out the swap with them, or, when they pay, we'll refund your fee.
I need the following info to reserve your spot: Screen name, full name, age, email address, year/make/model of car racing.
We prefer to fill the slots with turbo Buick powered cars. If we don't get enough, open spots are fair game.
We'll book 15-slots and 3-alternates. We won't begin filling alternate slots until all regular slots are filled.
We'll begin collecting money in late-August through early-September.

I will be handling the BBQ portion of the event, thank you very much.... :essen:

The $10.00 optional BBQ fee will include 4 wristbands....1 for the racer and 3 for family members (allows the wristband holders to eat what they want plus a drink). Those who do not buy the BBQ portion up front (wristbands), will still be able to buy food at the track within our tent for a separate fee.

Burgers ($2.00), dogs ($1.00) and homemade pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw ($2.50) are currently on the menu (side of baked beans comes with either food purchase). Soft drinks will also be available for purchase ($1.00) along with bottled water ($1.25).

I'm sure you guys have seen some of the video's I've put together it's no big thing. turbobuicks.net go to movies.. go to PhillyTurboSix and poke around. I never knew people whined about Nelson's videos :shock: F'em! If they do tell them to turn their TV off and throw the disc out the window or delete the file! If someone is shooting pictures or video and your car makes it in there you should consider your self lucky! I've always enjoyed his videos my self. I've been a photographer all my life. Started out with the good old Pentax 1000 :rock: I do it for free for a few reasons.. The love of shooting pictures of the cars I love.. For the enjoyment.. and because I know turbo Buick guys are too cheap to pay! :add_wegbr That's a long haul for Nelson to come for a track rental as is.. Don't worry.. I'll make sure I get everyone's car in there and host the pictures and video's. Just keep your car on the ground :arco:

I got verification that the last two racers are attending today.
We could accomodate alternates if a racer is going to stop and wants to "sell" or give away their slot for the remainder of the day, but I can't guarantee anything regarding that because it's not my slot to give away or sell.

I am not running, I had a Errr mechanical failure and working on car :shock: . I will be there with the Chef to cook and hang out with you guys. With a little luck maybe we can get through the day without breaking anything. Jack Cotton will be there and he is always good for a few parts, providing it is not a explosion.

You guys are gonna shoot me but beyond my control I won't be able to come to the track rental. On the 28th Hemmings Muscle Machines wants to do a shoot on my TTA along with a GNX from upstate NY. It will be an all day shoot. Well we have been having problems getting a good date. This shoot has been postponed 4 times now (all the rain we have been having) and I really don't want to miss this once in a life time chance to have my car in Hemmings! This article will be in the Feb. 06 issue. I hear they are going to do an entire issue about turbo cars of the 80's. I will contact some other guys I know who have good camera's and love to shoot. I'll host any pictures taken for free of course if need be. I would love to be at the rental and bought some new goodies for my camera but as of now it don't look like it's going to happen. :tantrum2:

Might have a spot open. I broke something on the car last night. Major pressure in the crank case. If its a head gasket then I should still be able to make it. If its a bad piston (which I sorta suspect) I won't be there. I'll update when I know for sure. Im not happy. :add_shit:

First few runs are definitely gonna be easy so I can get this thing tuned. Haven't had any time in the car all summer because of breakages!!

Well...I won't be racing the Buick tomorrow.
This weekend and last night, the rear suspension went into the car (Metco bar, UMI LCA's and adjustable uppers, QA1's). A few weeks ago, I noticed an upper rpm stutter in 1st and 2nd gear that seemed to clear out.
I was concerned that the car might not be getting enough fuel. O2's were good and last night we threw the wideband on the car. It was in the mid-upper 11's, still sputtering, now getting worse in all gears and third. Thinking it was an ignition issue, tonight I checked/changed the plugs and wires and swapped on a spare coil pack and ignition module. Even took the time to seal up that pesky leak at the DP/turbo and dropped in a new accumulator ball to get rid of that dreaded "brake" light (or in this case, "broke").
Fired it up, took it for a spin...still stuttering. Unplugged the cam sensor, put it in batch fire mode...still stuttering. O2's in the mid-upper 11's and the car is pulling hard. We start suspecting silly things, and TurboTwister says..."I'd hate to say it...but it sounds like an HG". Put it on the lift...HG is blowing out under boost above the #4 cylinder. These are copper HG's and I can't believe it blew. The car has only been tuned on a wideband and has had a minimum of 110 since getting the new motor in early this year.
I'm agitated...very agitated. And very tired. I'm going to bed, getting up early, throwing my DR's in the back of the Cobra, stopping by the car wash and heading to Atco to race something tomorrow.

The car made it home with no problems.....any day you can drive it home from the track is a good day!
