New tranny and headers should be in by March. Maybe this year we can all throw away the sundials that were being used to clock my quarter mile times.
Have no fear.....turbobuicks.com is back online.
I must have missed something? Whats all the concern for "over there" ???
TTV Dates are not yet set. Tenative dates were posted "over there" here's the text:
Just wanted to share tenative dates for TTV. The track is still finalizing their schedule so I can't confirm until later this month.
May 14th & 15th (the air would be great, but definitely concerns about the threat of rain, kids are still in shcool, etc.)
July 16th & 17th (this would work, little threat of rain, but the heat could be a problem again. I'd rather have heat, and be able to run than to send everyone home with wet/dirty cars and no timeslips)
Feel free to give me your feedback. If folks feel strongly one way or the other, we may still have time to influence the tracks decision.

I would prefer the cooler temps but I really would rather be able to make runs, so I guess July 16th and 17th is good for me. :daz:

Dave,
I definitely would hate to get rained out, so I vote for July as well. I can stand the heat, but Denise...that's a different story :add_wegbr

The July vs. May date will be decided by the track for the most part. We are piggybacking on their "Chevy-Showdown" event again and there are other factors that are at play with scheduling that event. There is some group who is trying to put together a 3-day big dollar bracket race and that is screwing up the schedule.
The only thing I like about the May date is the fact that if it didn't rain, we would probably get killer air to run in. We have a few days here in the spring where the air is as good as Mission Raceway (Canada). Everybody would haul ass.
I prefer the July date myself. I'd feel horrible if everyone showed up and it got rained out. We should know by 12/31. I will post it here, there and everywhere once I know for sure.

Thanks for the link Dave,
Haha, rain doesnt matter!! Oh, this isn't the SyTy forum.. haha :add_wegbr
All kidding aside, I haven't see the class racing schedule yet, so I don't know what I will be doing anyways.. I had to squeeze it in between racing weekends last year. Either dates are fine for me.
Question: Hey how does one go about finding a small enough avatar to put in here..? I'm not good at the pixel thing, I thought I had it covered with one of my pics, but I guess not, they're all too big... I can see the size of my pics, but that doesnt tell me the pixel count. haha :dong:
