Seriously doubt that change will be made.

Maybe if there was enough interest, there could be a hybrid class, qualified field, bracket style.

Was there 16 cars in the Q16?I may be wrong but it didn't seem like there
was.If there wasn't this could bring the car count up.One more question
what was the slowest car that made it in the Q16?
thanks

Well, I can tell you the bump in ST was around 10.90 and was a 109 block car. He made runner up. I would not protest a hybrid car in Q-16, and do not understand what difference it would make anyways, it is a bracket race.
There were a lot of other contenders that ran FASTER than the slowest car, but did not show up to race(mechanical issues). I was shocked at how many cars could have made the show. WHO KNEW!!!!

The Super 16 chairman, and others, feel this is a BUICK meet, and having a Mustang or Chevy or Mopar compete or win in a Buick race would not be appropiate.
Having spent most of my working life with Buicks, I share this feeling.
My opinion is that we SHOULD have a hybred class with a decent payout as well. [But my opinions do not count in the final analysis!]

No 6 cyls in that Mopar Bill, it was a 426 Max Wedge, and if you look closely, you will see the factory alum front end. That pic was taken at 75-80 Dragway in your part of the country!

75-80 is closing this year to make room for housing, that is a rough track!
