Voltage Question.

Battery is in the trunk, should i run my external pump directly off the battery or run it off the alternator?
Also old configuration was run off the alt with an inline fuse to the relay and then too the pump.
I seem to recall more voltage and less drop off the alt vrs the battery......it's been a while.....cannot remember for sure.

Run it off the alt, just make sure you have it configured to drop out when the bat sw is turned off.

I assume you mean battery safety switch........still have to get one of those.

Because of the length of wire, should i be ok with the current 10 gauge or step up to 8 gauge with a weldon pump?
