At this point, we are gathering input from previous, present and future heads up class racers. The plan is to have the turbo heads up classes progressive from slowest to fastest. this means what is legal in a slower class will generally be allowed in the faster class if one wants to move up.

The object in heads up racing is to have a fair and properly defined set of rules to keep each class participant competitive. The exsisting GS Nationals rules will be incorporated into the Buick Musclecar Nationals with slight changes as needed to define and clarify the requirements and specifications.

Gathering information in this dicussion will assist in the development of rules for the 2006 event. Even though this is an open forum, the input from the racers, past and present, will be that which be used for our purposes. Please identify your self when giving suggestions so it will have credibility. I say this as certainly we appreciate comments, but those from racers tell us specifics to evaluate.

It will probably take a month or so before our proposed rules will be posted. Generally, it can be stated that most class changes will be minor. The exception is the TSS class which has had very low participation in the past few years, and needs to be configured to attract more "street" cars. We are working on how to best accomplish this?
