I'm probably gonna buy a component system tonight or tomorrow and need to know the speaker sizes in the doors and in the dash. Anybody know? TIA

The dash speakers are a pain to put a decent speaker in with a tweater as they sit to high you need to get a gasket for the speaker and put them in under the dash.

factory concert sound speakers are 5.25" i replaced mine with infinity 5.25. now, you may need to cut the back of the cup thingie the speaker sits in if the magnet is too big, but for speaker shopping, you wanna look at 5.25" speakers.

is what I put in my car. You have to be selective about different brands as the depth is a major consideration. If they sit a little too high they want to bend or crack the plastic dash piece. Just my own experience talking here.

I have some infinity speakers in my dash, but they do sit too high. :albert:

I also have Infinity, the shop where I got them had some gaskets which enabled me to put them below the dash.

A bit of a job to put the screws in but doable.

I believe the ones I had were Kicker and I have also used Pioneer. Depends how high $$$ your system is going to be I guess.

Hey guys I have the cure all for your too tall speakers for the dash. Little trick I did with my GN. I got a nice set of Pioneer 3-ways. Well they made the dash stick up. Take the clips that mount the speaker and put them on the speaker.. then stick the one end of the speaker down under the dash and then slide it over to fit the other end under the dash. So basicly the speaker will now mount from the bottom. If it's got a nice tweeter on it you can hold that while you work the speaker in. This will set the speaker down under the dash and you'll have all the room in the world! I should have taken pictures of the install but it works perfect and you can use any speaker you like. Dont matter how high the tweeter sticks up!
