HI GUYS !

A GOOD FRIEND GIVE ME A SET OF 8445 PORTED HEAD
(NO TO BAD……. 180 CFM @ 0.450)
I WILL INSTALL IT NEXT SPRING (HEAD GASKET DEAD)
IT IS A GOOD IDEAS TO POLISH AND REMOVE ALL
SHARP EDGE IN COMBUSTION CHAMBER OR
I WASTE MY TIME ?

I HAVE A 10.99 OBJECTIVE
WITH A TA 62, 55 Lbs/h AND FM FORD PWRSTROKE IC
DIRECTSCAN FOR TUNING (thanks Janace).

Polishing isn't needed, smoothing them out, does work. Smoothing them, reduces the surface area by about 1/3, so less heat in put into the cooling system. Also, smoothing them, minimises carbon build up.

You do want to *break* the edge from where the chamber meets the deck surface, where the headgasket seats. Just a .010" radius is enough, you just want to get rid of the sharpness.
