Everybody loves Gary!

Hey- I read a little bit of that, but I think the most important thing was Lou's post which made him come across like a psycho.

That's the best part! Lou totally lost his cool and ended up looking like a damn nut. It he just an asshole or does he have a guilty conscience? Sounds like it's not the first time he's had to defend himself this way.

Last year at the WC Nats, Lou was kind enough to blind-diagnose my car for the price of a drink or two. I don't think anybody can criticize his technical abilities......but he is kind of a hot head. I don't understand why anybody was giving Gary shit.....all he did was try and help someone out with some suggestions. Oh well, I've been attacked on that board when I did the same thing.....

Lou's cool. He has spent a lot of hours on the phone with me at no charge. I have had him do a little work on my car and everything turned out just fine. Lou is a no-nonsense guy who will offend the thinned skinned.

Some of you know, I used to road race my GN and Lou was curious about my set up and how the car performed and wanted to learn something back from me. He just love sto know all there is about these cars and is not afraid to ask questions back.

His posting technique needs a little work, but then so does about 90% of the people on the net. Lou if you are reading this send me all of your potential posts for editing. :D :p ;)

Ya know, it's good IMHO that this happened. I'm about to spend thousands of $'s to get MY original engine re-built. I know I could buy an equivelent engine and keep my original engine for the same price. Overpaying? yeah...but thats where my heart is. The engine wont leave the car. I dont care what. I wouldnt be doing the re-build if it wasnt for some idiot who thinks his full size extended cab pickup would fit in a ten foot median thats in the center of the highway. (hwy 90 for thoes who know the area).

My insurance company has put 100% blame on "car 1". I'm "car #2" for WIW. But for some reason I'm the one footin' the bill. Well, maybe I'm not paying for the actual collision but I am paying for my damages. My super shiney original paint is ****ed. No cracks, no spiderwebs, no fading original laqure paint. GONE!!! It's a long story about the hack job the "reputable" body shop did to my car. Not to mention the engine running bad because of the accident. Geico says that I have to prove that the accident caused my car to run badly...sometimes it was ok, sometimes it ran bad. I brought it to an engine shop, they said it's ok. I brought it to a auto electric shop....it's ok. I footed thoes bills also. After the second checkup I decided....****it!!!! I cant prove shit. I lose.

So I figure, my 53K mile GN is ****ed anyways...just re-build that mother****er and be envied by lots of people. I lost what I love....I lost what I wanted, I lost what I changed my whole life for...****IT! My IMHO, perfect GN is ruined. Shot. All I can say is that I gained a racecar out of it. Not a GN......a racecar....a street machine and dragstrip compediter!!!

Now, I have passion. I might not agree with people on these boards....I may THINK I dont like them, but in all honesty I have major respect for ANY GN owner. I may not click with them but I do understand that they have something in common with me. I'm open minded, I may not agree but I do try to understand. I do talk shit....but thats what it is....talkin' shit. (if you cant handle the heat, get out the kitchin')

Billy Anderson was brought up. Thats great but I dont feel comfortable with him. Thats 100% IMHO. Please research and make your own opinion, I could be totally wrong with my opinion. I could list my reasons but there formed IMHO.

Grooms, they have a great setup at the nats. I'm thinking, are they showboating? If I went to the Nats I wouldnt care about extravagant displays. I'm not starstruck, I'm not fooled. You cant awww me with a kickass display...again thats me, IMHO.

Merkel...IMHO his rep is like Carr's. I cant tell if it's good or bad. Lots of wishy washy opinions. IMHO....stay away.

Lou? I totally respect his love of TR's...or should I say Turbo v6's...whatever. I've read tons of posts by him. I 100% believe he builds with love. I do understand his passion. he does trip out but "it takes the everyone to make the world go round." I can honestly say that I'm a "****it" away from giving him a call. Too bad I'm a rebel. I'm not going to give someone business when he talks shit to me like I'm a turd. Am I? I didnt get offended though. His comment about tending to sheep IMHO is actually a compliment. I really do have sheep! Sheep = girls. I'll take a pic of my girlfriend and her girlfriend sleeping in my bed. Right now...as we speak. Yep, I've got sheep. Lou, look at the pic and get jealous. Would ya? I just took it. I got two sex fanatics in my bed and I'm on the internet. No biggie to me. Nothin' new.

Cotton? yeah, I'd have him build me an engine. I'm not 100% though.

Nick? He's gonna get my money. Unless I change my mind...but someone would have to really impress me.

Gary, I fixed the pic for 'ya...lol

I'm not sure where you draw your opinion from but you are certainly entitled to it.I got your email "grocery list" the other day requesting a quote.

I hope I'm not being misunderstood. I have no negative things to say. I admire/envy you and your work. Hell you do drive the fastest GN in the world...huh? I've even bought small stuff from you in the past....through Jeff. I can only say good things.

It's hard to really explain but your competitiveness scares me or something. Thats all it is. Nothing more.

I do want you to send me an estimate. Your my back-up. I'm afraid that (i dont know if I should say his name) might be to busy to build my engine. I'm about to call him anyways to see how his schedual is going to be. I dont know how much of his time is used running tb.com...hint hint.

I'm very happy with the work Bill Ragland did on my GN, and plan on using him for the upgrade/build-up of my motor. I've talked with him many times about what I want to do next and he's very easy to talk to about it and is patient when he has to explain the ins & outs to me. He sends the machine work off to Grooms and I've heard nothing but good things about them. Bill is a little old fashioned and set in his ways, but his work is meticulious and his attention to detail down to the most minute detail is bar none. There was another gentleman in lower AL, I think his name is Will Tanner, who is also an exceptional TR guru that did some work for me when I live there awhile back.
