I am thinking on upgrading to a 400 in the near future, what would a 400 cost with a transbrake outright(no core)?.
This is for very limited street duty.
Motor is a 272ci stage II.
Thanks! :fragez:
400s are in the range of $1000 - $1800 depending on options. There are some Hi dollar 400s out there if you add lots of goodies. I have seen them up to $3500.

we have done many unique things with the turbo 400 over the years.there is a very thorough application section on my site that will be very wise for you to look at.www.ckperformance.com we now have a 42 element direct drum so the sprag problem is over and done with for good,as well as custom ratio gearsets and e4340 parts.

I have heard stories of guys buying a turbo 400 from the wreckers for $50 and installed it and it was fine............what do you think??
I assumed the 400s were cheaper then building a 200r4.........looks like i was wrong.
Does it ever end?
I know of several people who sure haven't spent a bunch and theirs are surviving. I built the one that's going in my car and it doesn't have anything too fancy; just a good sprag, good clutches, a deep pan, and a Hipster brake. I think I have $600 in it; started with a $40 Upullit core. :)
