Bruce:
Do you recall the site you mentioned some time ago, spelling out the differences between detonation and pre-ignition? I had a class today and the instructor said, oh, theyre the same thing. I emphatically said he was WRONG and that an engine can live a long life under moderate sustained detonation, but pre-ignition will burn a hole in a piston very quickly. (A couple revolutions) We went back and forth and I conceeded. I know I am right after reading that page, but cant find it to refresh myself and bring it to the instructors attention. DO you have it handy?
