How do I identify if I have a HD actuator or a "stock"wastegate. I want to run 15psi on the street and the only way I can do that is by "cracking" open the wastegate. Thanks :arco:

I've been dealing with an actuator problem myself. The actuators have a model number on them which *should* correspond to HD or standard.
the first set of numbers on my actuator is 1011-673 which I've been told is *supposed* to be a standard actuator, but I'm not able to adjust the boost below 21 psi. I'm still working on sorting this out.

I was told on the other Buick boards that the standard actuator will BEGIN to open at 9psi and the HD will BEGIN to open at 14psi. I hooked up the shop air to my actuator and low and behold, it didn't open until 14psi.
I always let off the gas when it gets over 17 but I also cannot get it to stay at 15 with out cracking open the wastegate. I was told this was bad on the puck so I shut it and just feather the throttle. If the above is true then I need a new low pressure actuator.
Are all the adjustable ones out there standard low psi unless noted HD or high psi? I don't want to buy what I already have :dong:

Contact www.precisionturbo.net or www.limitengineering.com. They will help you out. If you want a HD actuator you have to ask for it. Also when ordering tell the vendor what series turbo you have (TA or TE). The actuators mount differently.
