It's certainly worth a look.....I'm impressed, as I have never seen anything like
this before..... :applaus: It's too bad more people don't do this kind of testing. :anbet:

Get him to flow an LT1 Maf since thats what I have now.
Actually I believe Steve Yaklin spent a lot of time flowing the stocker with and without screens, ported stockers (which he got the most flow from) and LT1 (which was right behind the ported stocker)
I will see if I can find it

3" LT1 is about 800CFM
3.5" LS1 About 1000
Removal of screens is worth about 100CFM

Too me all it does is reinforce the idea of taking the screens out fubars the calibration.
Reversion, and the actual engine VE will both serve to skew the numbers from being linear.
IMO, if you want to run a MAF then get a Translator (Plus). If you're worried about the MAF being a restriction then set it up as a blow thru (only with the Translator). If your really wanting *Correct* then you'll want to spend time doing your own chips on the blow thru to get the best the system has to offer.
That's my story and I'm stickin to it <g>

reversion is air flowing the 'wrong way' through the engine. typically in a turbocharged car the exhaust pressure is much higher than the boost pressure, and with valve overlap, exhaust gas can flow through the intake side of the engine. It also happens in NA cars to a lesser extent. Here's a site that explains it a little better than I can.

Nick

Particularly so when the door (TB blade) is slammed shut.
