How would it be for daily use? I had my tranny go out on me again and was thinking of sending out my 3400 9x11 l/u for a re-stall. I will be going with a 70 or 72 innovative dual bb in the near future and was wondering how the 63 will act with such a high stall.

With heads and a cam, 3600 may be on the loose side, I think you'll be happier with the 3400. Mine spools like a stocker. ON the other hand, if you went up in turbo, you might like the added stall. For a street car, I'd venture to err on the tight side and see how the 3400 is. Dont tell me you're going to a 72 with 50's???? I dont know how fast you plan on going, but the 63 will go into the 10's no prob. Why a 72?

i'm going with 83#'ers before i make the switch with the turbos. I want the 72bb because i'm trying for a low 10 second street car. i have a 3400 now and it does spool real nice but its my only car and i figure with it down again i might as well just send the converter now. Instead of having the car down twice

The 9x11 converter is not like the other converters. Even the higher (3500+) stall converters drive a lot closer to stock when you are not on the gas. Around town your 3600-3800 stall will not be that bad. I am sure that you will enjoy the 63 and 3600 stall.

Well I'm running a 3800 9x11 l/u with the 63 and its not bad at all. Now I just need to get rid of the 63. Anyone have a 45a their looking to sell?

I just had my trans rebuilt by Len Freeman in Las Vegas, had the opportunity to purchase a used Art Carr 3800 N stall 9 inch non-lock up. I am using a GT61 and I did not loose any MPH at the track. Around town you can tell that the convertor is loose, not as much fun as the 3000 stall was on the street but spool at the line is instant. I can start spooling on the first yellow and leave with 10-15 lbs on the third. I you are going to be racing the car alot I would go with the higher stall it will work better with the 70 turbo. If you are daily driving I would go to a 3400, you don't have to turn as much rpm and the car will pull harder at lower rpm.
