Yeah, so I am trying the whole trunk thingy...I dont want to tackle any doors until I can get some other issues sorted out...I really dont have anymore bandaids either... Anyway, having fun doing this stuff! Makes me feel better, thinking, if only 11 dollars got my REAL t-type running!!! lol...So, I'll post more when this one is done! btw, the motor is supposed to look just like my real motor, universal red, red valvecovers with the gorrves chrome and so on...Pics again, arent too good, but it looks sweet in person!!
Anyone else got a little project of their own?
John

Is that a Revell model? I've put the Revell '87 GN together a couple times. I could never find a Testors paint that matched the grey of my interior just right, so I always had to mix it myself.

I had to mix a little white into my grey also...I got the testors grey 1138, and the gloss white 1145, for the mixing and for the bottles under the hood! It looks pretty sweet...But you are right, the regular grey is just waaaay too dark.
How can you make lear interior! hahahahahaha

I am so in love with these cars that it's a real treat to put thse models together and see how incredibly accurate they are. For the '3.8 SFI TURBO' emblem on the hood, I had to get the slightest amount of silver paint on a toothpick and lightly drag it across the lettering.....that was a real bitch.
I'3.8 SFI TURBO' emblem on the hood,.....that was a real bitch.
Thats the hardest detail about the car. I have NEVER done it correctly. I have a super steady hand and can do some amazing shit but the hood badge is impossible for me to get perfect...IMHO.
How about the rims...anyone paint them perfect? I can...now thats a bitch...very time consuming.
Cloth seats are simple. At the hobby store, in the model section...ahhh ****it, let me find y'all a link....There, I could only find black on this site, it's called flocking. You can get black and gray. First, you paint part of your seat then sprinkle the flocking on, paint more of the seat and sprinkle more on. Thats my cloth seat secret. It looks AWSOME!

Just stick to bolt-ons for now.
Just my preferance, but I would give it a light coat of flat clear on everything but the body and chrome.
