Anyone out there know really well how to troubleshoot one of these dinosaur laptops? I got it with an Accel DFI I bought, it was a freebie because it won't get past the startup screen. I was able to go in to setup and make it recognize the hard drive (all 81mb of it). So now it says "Starting MS-DOS.." but just freezes there. In the setup, there is a list Types of Hard Disks to choose from, but none of them match up with the specs of mine exactly. (cylinders, heads, sectors, size, etc.) So if anyone is good with these computers maybe I could get some help trying to make this thing recognize the hard drive and perhaps attempt to reload windows on to it (normally I am pretty good but this thing is almost older than me so I've never had any experience with them before)
The model is "notebook 486slc/33"
Its got PhoenixBIOS A486SX version 1.01
I've got a floppy that supposedly has windows 3.1 on it and a floppy that has the accel software on it.
