First post may as well ask a question: How do you shrink an image to 100X100 pixels or whatever so I can have an avatar too? (I feel left out).

thanks

EDIT: Got it!

If you have Win XP, just open the picture you want to use. It should open in the Picture Viewer. Now there's an option icon at the bottom of the picture, right hand side, to close the viewer and open the picture with the Image Editor. Do that; then click on Image, then Resize.

If you have an earlier Windows version, there are loads of picture editing freeware programs; do a Google search and you should find one easily.

Thanks that was quick! But, I'm still having problems. I have xp and i get right where you are saying but theres no resize, just half size and that works but theres no way to save it that way. As you can tell im not the greatest at editing pictures.

thanks

If you're running Windows XP, MS Power Toys has a nifty image resizer that works great for stuff like this. You can download it at:

Avatar size is limited to 100 x 100. If you make the image fit to a 100 x 100 screen, you should be good to go. You may have to play with the sizing a bit in case the avatar's proportions get screwy.
