My tranny has an unknown history, but since my car has 80,000 miles on it I think it has probably been rebuilt somewhere along the line.
I had the dust cover off tonight to pull my dying starter off and I was checking out the converter. It is painted gold and has what appears to be "5W" stamped in between each of the ribs all the way around the converter. I can take a pic of it but there isnt much to see.
Is this a D5 or some knock off? It seems to stall at about the right rpms
