Just thought I'd introduce myself.
Been scoping out the forum for a few days, I don't own a GN, or T-type Regal, or even a 3.8, but I do like turbocharged V6s. :D
I have an S-15 Jimmy with a 60degreeV6 hybrid, and I'm building another car with a similar (but mo' powaful) set-up.
Anyway, just thought I'd say "Hi"
:D

Welcome! I'm thinking of dropping an 84 3.8 turbo engine into a Jimmy. Is yours a 4x4 or a 2 wheel drive? What were some of the problems you encountered?

Thanks for the welcome.
Mine is a 2WD. My biggest problem was finding time to get it done. ;)
As far as physical fitment, I think the most difficult part was the crossover pipe and down pipe, I have both running through the area where the stock passenger side manifold dumps.
I also had to add an ECM, since my truck was carbed originally.
But there is a bigg difference with my swap and what you propose to do, my build was based on a 60degreeV6, actually started with an '86 2.8L block and built from that, stroking it and using a newer (aluminium) top end.

There have been a couple of guys swap a 3.8 turbo into thier dimes, the only one that really comes to mind though is a 2nd gen. If you search on www.s-series.com you should be able to find it. If I come accorss it, I'll let you know.
