9/12??

What are the benifits over a 9/11 like the one Bruce sells?

Not sure about the 9/12 but Steve built me a full lockup billet 9 inch convertor thats been in my car for years and has never missed a beat. 100's of runs, the guy really knows his shit, they have all the C&C machines and make most pieces themselves... Gurtz was also the R&D guy when this convertor was a prototype too. I don't know PTS pricing but I paid about $600US for the 9 inch which was their most expensive one at the time. I assume the 9/12 will be cheaper. TCS in Langley BC is I think the biggest TC builder and rebuilder in Canada.

I think I paid $600 for my 3000 stall PTS 9/11 2 years ago. Still today it was the best purchase I made with the biggest bang for the buck.

The TCS "new" 9/12 is more or less the same thing as Bruce's 9/11. There are already a couple of guys out our way using them and so far everyone is happy with them. Darrell is the new guy @ TCS that started bulding/selling this convertor at the end of last season. He said at that time that it is more or less the same thing as what Rusty @ TCS in Arizona builds, which is who Bruce and the rest of the guys who sell 9/11 convertors get theirs from. Retails for about $750 CDN or so. Great deal for us local Canucks. :beerglass

I have the same convertor as Rob in my GN and it has never had a problem. They are pretty good about standing behind their stuff if you do have a problem.

I'm pretty sure the TCS 9/12s that I saw last summer had stock front covers on them. I think the new ones have billet covers on them making them beefier for racing applications rather than street. Otherwise yah I think they are the same thing, just a little more refined. Maybe the person that started this thread can enlighten us some more :fragez: :fragez: :fragez:

Nah you got it all wrong... First he'll strip all the paint OFF so it gets rusty looking like a stocker, then he'll spend another week stamping D5 all around it and THEN he'll tell us its stock. :dong:

Well looks like Dave's off the hook now... Terry, your post officially kicks off pick on Gurtz week :jean: Hey Gurts, you reading this shizznit :moa: :frech:
