I need a battery hold down bracket for my TTA. When I bought the car it came with an oversize battery that barely fit in the battery compartment and someone obviously removed the bracket that clamps the battery in place in order to make room for the larger battery. Now I have the factory size battery and it has plenty of room to move around in the compartment and I need a way to hold it down. Can anyone tell me where I can get a battery hold down bracket? are they TTA specific?

Thanks
James

It's just a regular plastic hold down thats used in just about every GM car the last 20 years.I belive it should be avalible in the help section or definatly any junkyard or dealer.Really common part :)

Continuing this topic; The tech inspector at our NHRA sanctioned track doesn't like the cleat style battery hold downs and has warned some to get a more secure setup or else. :yessir:

So has anyone got some part numbers for a good over the top type bracket?
Thx.

I think the next time he says something like that he should also show you where the NHRA says it's not good enough.Granted letting you run is up to the track and tech inspectors but unless the battery is relocated the NHRA doesnt specify anything other than it be securely mounted.
