I upgraded to a John Craig TE-61 from B&E Custom and I really like it. My previous best with my TA-49 was 7.50 @ 94.13 with 23.5# boost and a 1.70 60'. Thursday night I ran the TE-61 for the first time and had runs of 7.566 @ 95.07 with 1.821 60', 7.676 @ 94.79 with 1.898 60', and 7.530 @ 94.54 with 1.775 60'. These runs were about 25# boost and running rich. My EGTs were 1530-1560 and should have been 1600-1620 for max. power. I was running 93 octane + denatured alcohol. I am hoping to run 7.4x @ 97 once I get the EGT up and some better traction. My combo is in signature.

I think that your 1/4 mile times will really pick up with your new turbo.
You said that your best was a 7.5 with the 49, but what times were typical? It looks like you picked up a bit of power just from the MPH.
Lean that sucker out and let us know what times you are getting!!!:arco:

Eric--I really like the turbo you sold me! My 'typical' times with the TA-49 were about 7.7/7.8 @ 92-93 so I did pick up quite a bit with the TE-61, even untuned. It seems I can consistently run better than that with the new turbo. I hope to get to the track Thursday and dial it in some more, if tropical storm Jeanne doesn't produce rain over us then.

I should clarify that the 7.7/7.8 were before I installed the MT drag radials and the 10"/3,200 tc. Those two items helped me get to the 7.5 et with the TA-49.
