Hey guys,
I am putting my 84' t-type for sale, I am moving to arizona next year and don't want to deal with taking another car out there. I have only owned this car 3 months, and mainly bought it to drive to champaign from bloomington every weekend. I have put about 1100 miles on it since i have bought it. I bought it off a guy that claims he rebuilt the motor .40 over everything else stock........I personally have doubts about this rebuild but i am not sure, when i first bought the car i didn't put 80 miles on it till i put comp cam 980 valve springs with new seals and retainers brand new. I also bought an applied tech. cold air kit, tps throttle tec, heated o2 sensor kit, and soon to come a caspers 7 setting thumbwheel chip. When i put the springs in the push rods look new and the drain ducts in the back of the heads looked clean and shinny like a machine shop went through the motor, the engine has some blow-out, i say blow-out not blow-by because so far the car hasn't burned any oil, but i honestly don't know too much about these cars, the things starts every time, on the highway it doesn't shift into over drive, which to my knowledge there should be an over drive...the guy i bought the vehicle from put a hurst ratchet shifter in it and said he had the tranny gone through by a shop, so i imagine that the guys installed the shifter wrong...who knows. I bought new tires for the rear, along with an auto meter boost gauge and a casper elect. knock gauge. In addition, I have also installed a racetronix fuel pump kit walbro 340 with hot wire harness into the car. Currently the locking mechanism became loose ontop of the tank as i accidently bent the locking tab up when installing the pump...this just occurred a few days ago as when i fillled the tank up i pumped too much in and it over flowed the amount i went over. anyways that is a pretty easy fix. the underneath of the car is very solid, solid floors, frame, trunk. the interior is very clean it needs a new headliner, and there is one rip in the drivers seat. the odometer reads 90,000 miles. I also installed a 160 thermo and a new heater core. The body is rough, the door are rusted along with rust in the quarters, the fenders are in very good shape.
