Me and a friend have been arguing, he says for 6,000 u can get a 300zx into the 7's, im thinking, 1/8th mile but hes ignorant and i told him that TTA's are faster and easier to mod and just plain superior. So who has the fastest TTA? I know they arent usually as heavily modded as gns since theyre rare, but they have better potential because of aerodynamics and weight, right?

Maybe :)

Here is the only place I know to look for reliable TTA times....Click Here (http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=86357) The fastest TTA's are not listed there, but, the TTAs listed are real life performances, many with only few modifications, and all with stock weight.

Stock motor or Stage? Dave Koppel has a 274 Cu.In. that is a 7 second ride.

I don't even talk to people like that. Ask him at what mph is it running 7's and that will tell you if it is 1/8th or maybe even 0-60 :arco:

There is a reason you never see a 300ZX at the strip. I used to have one. I think they are cool looking cars, and are a force to be dealt with on the highway, but from a stop, an LC2 car will whip it like a red headed step child. Put $6 grand in mods in each car, forget about it. The TTA will be running off and hiding from the Z.

(my apologies to any red headed step children I may have offended) :arco:

Hello!

My first post on his forum.
I'm a Turbo owner since 4 years and lives in far and frozen Sweden on the other side of the pond.

For 6k in mods you should be in the low 7's on the 1/8 mile, tell your friend that the crazy swede has a 7.13@100 in the 1/8 mile.

There is a TTA that holds the world record in stock and also a GN in Super Stock, same owner:

A guy here runs one of those 300 TT cars, he runs 11.8 at the track at 118 mph. Claims its stock turbos, but wont say what else is done to it. Hes real cocky, thinks hes the fastest thing around.

I don't believe that dude. No way he has stock turbos. Lotsa work to get those cars inthe 11's.

If he is running that fast, he has a fortune in that motor. And it ain't stock.

Yea Caroline is a sweety..

There was a real nice tta at bowling green this year that looked to be quite fast.
Had a stage 2 motor and was really clean!
If memory serves me correctly the guy had a nice looking gf as well!

His car ran in the 10's several years ago. When it reappears, hopefully this year, it'll be a few seconds faster :anbet:

Don't know much about him, but a guy by the name of Ralph Conner has a TTA in the low 9's. It's a non-tubbed car as well.
