Don't have a lot of specifics, but early in the program they were running the STG II iron blocks.
Later in the program they switched over to aluminum STG II blocks, aluminum STG II heads and custom intakes, etc.
I'm fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to be the proud owner of two of the aluminum blocks. (still unused). You can see pix of them in my photo link in my sig.
I'm lead to believe, but can confirm it, that these blocks were originally cast for Scott Braytons team.

I have some info on those motors, but I'll have to dig it up. I know they were made by the Montgomery Brothers.

Didn't they have some sort of high tech goofy pushrod setup to circumvent the rules for pushrod engines for a year or two? If anybody knows what I am talking about could you please post the info, thanks.

They all (iron or aluminum) used regular STG II blocks with solid roller cams, lifter, etc. The oiling systems were quite a bit different because of the solid rollers, etc.
But nothing terribly unique. What you may have seen in pictures is the rev kits that were used with them to keep the lifter down on the cam lobes.
Here's what the aluminum blocks looked like in the lifter valley. Ignore my own lifter oiling mods ;)

As can be seen that's a Stage II iron block, with the Stage II aluminum heads.
What search criteria did you find the one on ebay with?

It was about a month or two ago. Someone posted a link for a Granatelli auction. He had a complete Buick Indy motor plus some Lola's and other shop equipment:

I thought I had a picture, but I don't. Was wondering if anybody "right-clicked" and "saved as."
