Thats another one of those great little hacks we had to enable so we could keep people off the server who, despite when banned, would constantly join back in circumventing our ban rules just to rub it in our faces that they could back in, and then wonder why we ban them again every time we see them.

They are also usually the people whining the most about us banning them.

What a vicious cycle.

Mike, if that doesn't work and if you have mIRC go to the settings area and enter the

buick.fiendish.net

for the server. It'll have a place for the port. Enter 6667 if it's not already there.

Then when you log on, enter /join #buickGN

If you have any more problems write back.

I won't comment on if you have to 'pay' for it or not. But this is what most people use to get on the chat room. I used a different program, but this is about the status quo of chat.

Well, try again..make sure you are connected to the right server and the right channel. If you install mIRC and click the link above, it will do it for you. I'm in there along with a couple of others right now; night times there are always 5-6 people in the channel. Mind you, they may all be asleep or dead, but they're in there! :)

You must not be connecting to the correct server. You need to add a server, and tell it the server name is buick.fiendish.net. Then join channel #buickgn once you have a connection. If you are using mIRC, close it, then click on the link Jay posted above; it should start mIRC and connect to the correct server and channel for you.

Kendall I was having problems yesterday evening. Seems like it's working now though.

Ledzep, I'm usually in there, but at odd hours as I'm 6 hours ahead of y'all. But, usually AJ and a few other people are in there.

If you go to t6p.com, click on "Forums" then scroll all the way down to the bottom, there is a listing of who is in the chat room.

Help me out here guys, I can't get in. I use to be able to click on the link at the top of this post at get right in. Now I get nothing, so I went here http://www.mirc.co.uk/index.html and installed the download. What's the next steps I need to take. Keep it simple, I need the step by step for the non savvy pc guy.
