i'm part of a computer forum called anandtech. They, and other sites, have came up with a way of rating a buyer/selling. They have a site called heatware.com. When you buy or sell you go to heatware and give the seller/buyer a rating. Trust me, if you don't have heatware you'll have some difficulty buying/selling. I just thought it would be a good idea if someone could do this for the TR and other car sites. Any takers? I know we have the goodguy/badguy list (i did that years ago) but it's really not as effective as heatware is. Just a thought...

The problem with that is most of the users here don't sell enough things for it to be effective. Say for instance, I want to buy something off of you, you check and I have no rating, then what? I have been on the BB's for a couple of years but don't use them for buying or selling so I would have no rating and neither would about 80% of the other people on here.

I stick to the basics. I don't sell to anyone that hasn't been on the boards for a while. I will search on their username and see what they come across like. I have yet to be screwed and I sure has heck am not going to screw someone and suffer the embarrassment of being dragged through the mud.

It'd be nice to have something like an EBAY rating. Each party gets 1 response to a bad or good transaction and that is it.

I heartily disagree. Heatware is one of the best ways to see how a seller is, and could be very beneficial to the Buick community. There's no reason dealers couldn;t be on there either.

I'm a member of Anandtech too (One of the largest BB's in the world) and it is used heavily and respected. (Heatware that is)
