Best bang for the buck I ever did!
Swapped intercoolers at the track and picked up 3 mph and dropped 1/4 sec 106 mph before 109 after, boost went up maybe 1 psi and I raised fuel press about 2 psi. :fly:
This was on my 86 T-Type

What type of down pipe are u using from the photo hard to tell? Have you

It had a Postons down pipe.
I sold the car bout 2 weeks ago.
Me and Bmason ran it at the track the last week MIR was open and the only time I ran it with the 3200 converter.
My best was a 12.59@107 on 18 psi boost and he went 12.26@110 on 20 psi boost. This was with a street chip,KB ram air, stock ported turbo,36's, Vig 3200 converter & Blowmaster exh. This was with no tuning too.
The converter alone dropped nearly a full second, another good bang for the buck
I'm sort of sad I sold it, we both felt the car had an 11.9x in it on 22 psi and a better chip.

This was on my 86 T-TypeAll that from the Dutt' neck? Unfortunately, the last owner put mine on, so I didn't get to feel the difference, but I would never have thought that it would have THAT much affect.
After I added my bling bling 15 row IC with the dutt neck I could tell a difference. Felt faster. I think my spooling took a little longer though. Dont know.

Yep, Just the dutt neck.
And it was 2 hrs later in the day so it was hotter too!

I absolutly agree.. I feel it was the *best* cheap mod that I have ever made too. Made a huge difference on my car too. That is almost like adding an aftermarket ic! lol
Id love to see a direct comparision between a stock, det nect and a BIG stock location ic. Ill bet the det neck is damn close to the #'s of the BIG boy..
As long as your are no faster then mid 11's:)

Lots of experience with the Duttweiler neck mod. There's a little tuning involved but most of the cars here picked up 2-3 mph.
Stock motor, stock turbo w/ported exh housing, stock downpipe factory IC w/a Dutt neck IC took my GN from 12.3 to 12.0s and a few 11.9s.
Don't do the necks anymore but I have instructions on my site (http://members.cox.net/stevemonroe/ICMod.htm)

Here's how mine came out. No results yet at the track. Although I made a jig to copy the position of the stock neck and it is correctly positioned to it, the 3" transition is a little too short. I had to get a longer one to so it would be more secure. I used a different intercooler than the original one, don't know if that made the difference or not. Other than that no issues.

Well, I got some Tbolt clamps to put on and when I loosened the intercooler I noticed I could reposition it closer to the turbo. The 3" transision works fine now. Tbolts look cool too.
