We have icy roads tonight and an inch of snow over the ice, so it is pretty slick. On my way home a kid in a Cavalier did a 180 into a ditch, so I stopped in my dress clothes and laid on the ground and ran my tow strap around his axle and pulled him out. At first I was going to let him climb on the ground, but he was clearly clueless so I did it so I could get home.
I thought I might have a problem getting him out because of the ice but my truck walked him out pretty easily. Maybe Santa will be good to me tomorrow. If anything it turned my wife on and I will probably get some at least :elefant:

I did something similar - my buddy bought a 93 TBird for a daily driver - and on the way home the $89.00 replacement radiator blew up. I took the TR and a tow strap and pulled him home after disconnecting the driveshaft..

Bob,
That's a sweet K5. I've always wanted one of those. I looked into buying one a few years back but gave up because all the ones I found were beat to crap or had a million miles on them. To me the old style Blazer just looks like a truck is supposed to, not like the wimpy jelly bean jobs that are made today.

Thanks this is my second one. I had an 88, but sold it because pulling my 26' boat with it was friggin scary. After a 99 Silverado and a 95 1 ton dually, I realized I had gotten too big and expensive, and I wanted a mud toy. Lots of guys have them in CA for rock crawling and off roading
After driving that dually the Blazer is like driving a sports car :marchmell
The key is finding an old man who took great care of the truck for a long time. The guy I bought mine from never drove it in the winter for the 6 years he owned it. Here's how it looked when I bought it
