You could also contact Mike Licht at Full Throttle Speed & Style (used to be Modern Musclecar) about the new Commander Series chips.
All the fantastic features of the Extenders, but made for stock MAF'd cars.

Cool guys, I'll look into those for spring...

Is it true that Jim Testa no longer makes chips? A while back I heard he was good.

Don't rule out the Thrasher chips. They are pretty good chips and for <$30, you should try one. I loved them.

I'm now running a chip from Eric at turbotweak and its doing just fine :)

Joe Lubrant also makes a good chip.

One more vote for Eric Marshall aka Turbotweak.......
My car ran awesome this year, didn't start knocking until it hit 32psi... :albert:
Happy all day long around 30psi, pump gas and alky.

I'll third Eric at turbotweak, my car never ran so smooth. Forget the tip-in stumble with 009's, this thing runs like a champ.

Thanks for all the responces so far :applaus:
I was looking on the turbotweak site and I noticed EGR is disabled. Does this effect driveability at all? Keep in mind that this will be a daily driver in the summer. Also is it recommended to have an adjustable wastegate actuator for his chip(or any chip for that matter)? :joint:

I ran a Jay variable timing chip in my GN. Car was not stock, had lots of parts and was a low 11 120mph car. I drove the car every day, and to BG twice, Indiana meet, Bristol, and 1300 miles to my home town twice. Car ran like a champ, great mpg and ripped! :thrashi:

You need a 3 bar map and a T-Link boost harness to run the chip, but the spool is fast enough to scare you.

and now, the dancing dumpling. :marchmell

The main reason the EGR is disabled was to make room for other code. There should not be any drivability issues with the deletion of EGR. Timing has been adjusted in certain areas to compensate for the lack of the EGR. The car will almost definitely not pass any type of emissions testing with that chip.

I would recommend some type of adjusting device for boost, whether it be an adjustable actuator or a bleeder valve. With any chip, you will most likely have to tweak the boost in for your car. Every car is a little different!

Steve Yaklin's MaxEfforts are nice, but at a premium.
His customer service is second to none.

I've tried to PM Jim Testa here on this site. But, he doesn't
reply. You'll occasionally se him post here and there.
He uses the name "Turbo Jim" with a cool avatar with a spinning turbine.
:applaus:
His site is still up on the Turbo Regal web ring too.
In the mean time I've ordered a thrasher to replace the Hyperjunk
chip my car came with. :add_wegbr

Happy Easter everybody ! :marchmell :elefant:

Couldn't say enough about Eric's chips aka Turbo Tweak. Dyno rwhp = 392 with 413 ft ponds of torque, with his STREET CHIP "hahaha", I can only imagin a strip chip, with around 97 octain and 23 # of boost, NO KNOCK. Eric's support is first class all the way. Thanks Eric. :arco:

Do I need anything special to run a JC variable timing chip? I thought I read one post saying you need a 3 bar Map sensor. Is that just to get the data on t-link? Dave C.

You'll need a boost sensing harness so the computer "knows" how much boost there is. The timing is varied based on boost. Whether it requires the stock 2-bar or a 3-bar, you'll have to ask Jay.
