I am looking for a 3400 stall converter for my car, and I have no idea where to begin looking for one. It is going in a Hot Air, so I dont know if I need a lockup, or non-lockup, or who to go to for one. Any ideas or prices?

They are priced very reasonable and the support is awesome! I have their 10" lock-up 3500 stall and love it!

I got a 3000-3200 PI single dics lockup converter you can have for $400. I came out of my car prior to me putting in the 3500.
Read about em at www.converter.com (http://www.converter.com)

Pat's converters come with a free stall change, $70 to freshen the lock-up clutch and inspection plus the warranty and only $450.00 brand new.

Hey John -
How about giving Eric down at Dynotech a call? He'll be doing my converter and shift kit in the next couple of weeks - he uses the Protorque units (I'll be doing 3000 w/lu). Noticed you're in Parsippany (I'm in North Caldwell), and we have a great tranny guru right in our own backyard practically....
Probably gonna cost more than Pat's (have not purchased from them but they were friendly to deal with when I was investigating converters), but I hear nothing but good things about Eric's work.

I need to get more clarification from Pat's but I thought they made converters for Protorque. Supposedly they are the orange and red stripe converters.

Got some feedback from a fellow Buick guy I turned on to Pat's today. Hope he doesn't mind. :arco:
Pats Converters
Hi,
There was an old thread and you said tell me how the Pats 10" 3000 stall works for you. Well, first run on radial tires I left with about 7 lbs boost and spun 200 ft down the track burning rubber and honestly with the side to side sliding I was scared! Great fun!
Then launched with no boost and ran 13.0 @ 109 mph 22 lbs boost (race fuel) & Erics chip with a 2.4 60 ft rolling into it! I like the converter & service from them. Ordered rims & slicks today so next time a decent 12 is there! (with 25 lbs boost!)
They e-mailed to follow up & asked me after installation if I was happy so there are good in my mind! Good Guys!
Just thought I'd let you know.
Take Care!
David
