Well, I just received my intercooler from Keith Mease. Holy Shit this thing is big and VERY nicely done. But it's December in Ohio and the snow is flyin', so it'll be next year before I can try it out. The stock intercooler core is 12 1/4" wide and 9 3/4" tall. This thing is 13" wide and 18" tall! This should definitely be the last intercooler upgrade that I'll need to make. All of the hoses & hardware look top notch, and the workmanship on the intercooler / shroud is exceptional. My response when I peeled open the box?

The WH1! Looks to me like the install on the TTA would consist of jacking up the car, installing the intercooler, and leaving it on the jack as the tires might not hit the ground. :add_wegbr I do have a used V4 that I recently purchased - never installed in the WH1. Anyone know if it will fit in the TTA? From what little research I've done I'm guessing it will fit but will be unnecessary until the car is considerably modified.

I ordered this a while back on a group purchase on T.B.com. I don't believe Keith is selling directly anymore, but through certain vendors. I will let you all know how the install goes, but the brackets (powdercoated aluminum) do have some adjustment and it LOOKS straightforward.

Steve Kaminski (sp?) installed one on a TTA. I don't know how...it wouldn't fit on mine without A LOT of modifications. I gave up and installed a stock TTA i/c with a big neck.

Have you had a chance to install the intercooler yet?

The intercooler is in! Fit is very good. The only "issues" I had were with the threaded "ready-rod or all thread" included with the kit. Just can't get around having the stuff on my car, so I made a couple of looong double ended studs. The passenger side bracket that attatched to the water pump (with the long studs) drew 3/8" away from the intercooler when tightened down, so I made a shim to put it where it needed to be. Other than that and having to relocate the fan resistor to a different web (in order to clear the shroud) it was real straightforward. Made a new up-pipe from the intercooler to throttlebody the other night to mount the propane nozzle in and haven't gotten to take it out and foot tune it yet.
