I am looking at getting one of these and was looking for input from someone who is running one. What stall do you have ? I am also looking at going with a 3000 convertor.

Anyone have any info or experience with the GT6152E ? How much would the BB option be? I am also curious what street manners it has, and stall required etc.

Very interested in this also...Might be running one of these soon.
I've got a gt61 but I dont know if it's a GT6152E or not.
I bought a 3500 converter. It takes about 4 seconds to spool with my stock converter.
When the turbo kicks in the tires spin :rockwoot: and the car is GONE!!!

The GT6152E has a Stage V Exhaust wheel. BE4U has a GT61 with a P-trim exhaust.
If you have 3000 stall, you will be able to spool the GT61P no problem. I do not personally like the 6152 becuase of the small exhaust wheel. The 61P spools fine, even with the stock converter.
BE4U, you are going to tear up the asphault with that 3500 stall. That is cool, when you get tired of that little 61, we can get you the 67 upgrade!!

With the 3K stall, just step up to the 61P and be done with it. You have enough converter to get the 61P going no problem.

I do not think that you can get the BB option with the Buick 3 Bolt Exhaust Housing.

You mean I can go faster?!?! Gawd!!! I still have to turn the boost up about 2 more #'s and my newest chip for the converter has a little more timing. I'm already scaring myself. How fast do you want me to go?

It sounds like B4U will be rockin once he gets the new converter installed. I see transmission and rear end parts on his upgrade list. LOL.

Step up to the GT61P ? IS 6152E that much of a step down ?
What is the difference street manners wise vs. the 6152 ? How much LAG ?
Does GT61P = GT61 with P-trim exhaust ?
GT61P = spool like a stocker with 3k stall?
Apologize for the many questions, I only want ONE turbo !

If you have a stock converter, the 6152 is your best bet, if you have a 3K or more, the 61P (P Trim exhaust wheel) is your best bet.
The 6152 has a smaller exhaust wheel which is great for spoolup on cars with less stall. Once you have the stall (3K+), you do not need the smaller wheel to get the turbo spooled, and with the larger wheel, you will make more power on the top end.

So, it sounds like the 6152 will spool like mad w/a 3k stall and a 61P may have slight lag w/a 3k stall :fragez:
Does the 61P require higher boost than the 6152 to make equivalent power :fragez:

The 6152 will spool better than the 61P with the 3K stall, but the 61P will pull like a freight train on the top.
They both use the same compressor wheel, so higher boost will not necessarily make more power. The 61P will make more power do to the fact that it will be moving more exhaust than the 6152.

AW GEESCH !!!! Now I am torn between the two. They both are attractive though.

If you like, get the 6152 first. When you get a higher stall converter, you can upgrade the 6152 to a 61P, or you can just go straight to another turbo. Either way, I am sure that you will like the power that a larger turbo makes!
