Is this a good turbo, im not sure how big it is, but this is what the kid wrote

Garrett T-70 (M-24)
compressor side is a .70a/f
Turbine side is .84

Its brand new and hes selling it for 450 bucks.

What stall is needed for something likw this?

and will it even work on a GN

Thanks

Kevin

A 70 is over $1,000.00. For $450.00 something is either broken or it is extremely old and my not have a 360 degree thrust. :albert:

Kevin,

I would ask him the diameter of the inlet of the compressor housing, it should be a 4" opening. Also he could pull the comp housing and measure the wheel as well. It should be around 70mm.

Also, if possible have him measure the diameter of the turbine wheel. The best way is to remove the housing. Based on that we can figure out the trim on the turbine side.

$450 is awfully cheap though, the compressor wheel alone is around $240.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

It could also be some knockoff turbo made by Jimmys Turbo Shop.. probably wouldnt find out until you had to get it fixed.
