I have a Westech that goes from 400 to 1800 degrees Farenheit mounted in the A pillar. It is a little hard to see when going down the track, but with experience, I will get there.
Having a peak hold would be nice.
I have been curious about the Spa Techniques guages because they have a recall feature.

Mack,
Just get the SMC kit. It comes with everything you need. Steve also provides good customer support.

Keith,
For whatever reason SMC has never gotten around to putting their EGT kit on their web page. It's a pretty nice kit that comes with everything you need for the install. I had mine installed in the car in about an hour. The probe for the kit installs in the header up-pipe to the turbo and requires a 1/8" hole be drilled. I don't remember how much I paid for the kit but I believe it was around 250 bucks.

I have the SMC unit .I wish it had a light or some kind of glowing backlight. What I did I used a black tie wrap and fixed the back rubber meter holder to the first vent on the dash. Then I just pushed the meter back in.No messy stuff to the dash and comes off easy.I wish it had a back light! :yessir:

1. No, it is not on his site, just email him.
2. Yes, it is a nice meter with backlighting and max hold features
3. Price is around $200 and the probe kit around $40. I've bought extra probe kits, which include everything, for my other cars.
4. I've placed my meter in the center console between the seats for the stealth appearance, and check the max hold temp after a run. I'm watching the scanmaster kr during the run. Be sure to be conservative running the wire inside the engine compartment, or the wire provided won't reach the console area. I drilled a hole at the bottom front inside of the console to run the wire in, then attached the plug end.
