Hey guys,
Well, I'm getting my motor rebuilt and while I was dissasembling it I dropped one of the pistons. It threw off the piston clearance and I need to find 1 stock piston, a whole set of stock pistons, or after market pistons. Let me know what you have
thanks

Buick6 has a good deal. If I needed pistons, I'd buy them. I paid about $280 2 years ago for just the pistons & (heavy) wristpins from Summit. Then the ARP rod bolts cost me another $67. The high dollar Totalseal rings cost me over $150. So he does have a good deal here. I think I just talked myself into buying them since I have two cars & one needs rebuilding. (I just don't know how much cylinder wear is on that motor & will not bore a virgin bore block unless it needs it!) Interesting point here: My first rebuild had no wear or taper on any of the six cylinders. I watched the machine shop check them myself. So I have stock bore (3.80) Sealed Power (TRW's) and an uncut stock crankshaft, only micropolished with .001 under Clevite bearings. Clearance was perfect. Really is a stock motor here, right? (Comp 260 cam, Champion irons, etc.) Another interesting tidbit I might add, my buddy just ordered new .030 Sealed Power pistons from Summit (about $290) and they came with a couple of new features that I really like: a friction coating on the skirts & thinner, lighter wristpins. BTW, my stock piston weighed MORE than the TRW without the pins installed. With pins the TRW became much heavier because of the pin wall thickness. That's why people like Jason Kramer are running these strong, durable pistons with JE lightweight pins. Sorry, didn't mean to be the energizer bunny. Keeps going and going. :joint:
I have a brand new set of standard TRW forged pistons/pins $225 plus shipping.
I have plenty of stock pistons as well $20 shipped each
Good luck with your buildup.
